ESN SIENA GES

Erasmus Student Network Siena Gruppo Erasmus - Ente del Terzo Settore, abbreviato in ESN Siena GES - ETS, è un'organizzazione apartitica e apolitica di studenti volontari, fondata il 16 gennaio 1990, per iniziativa di alcuni studenti dell’Università degli Studi di Siena di ritorno dai programmi di mobilità studentesca europea. L’associazione è aperta a tutti gli studenti dell’Università di Siena, dell’Università per Stranieri di Siena ed di altri enti di formazione superiore presenti nel territorio senese e si prefigge di accogliere e fornire supporto agli studenti internazionali in arrivo a Siena durante il loro periodo di mobilità, nel rispetto del principio “Students Helping Students”. A tal fine, l’Associazione organizza viaggi ed altre attività ricreative - in linea con le sei Cause di ESN Italia (Culture, Health & Well-Being, Social Inclusion, Environmental Sustainability, Education & Youth e Skills & Employability) - aiutando gli studenti internazionali a inserirsi nella comunità universitaria senese e nel tessuto socio-culturale italiano, oltre a supportarli nella ricerca di un alloggio, fornendo loro qualsiasi informazione utile alla loro permanenza a Siena. Promuove, inoltre, la mobilità nelle scuole e supporta gli studenti italiani desiderosi di intraprendere un’esperienza di mobilità in Europa.

 

Sono circa 500 gli studenti che ogni anno si tesserano presso ESN Siena GES - ETS, aderendo così ad un’offerta di servizi in continua espansione e miglioramento. Ottenendo la tessera associativa e presentandola al momento dell’acquisto è possibile usufruire di sconti e promozioni in numerosi negozi locali e con partnership nazionali tra cui Ryanair, Flixbus, N 26, Just Eat, Bit Mobility e molte altre.

 

Annualmente, l’Associazione organizza anche attività di Recruiting per consentire a nuovi studenti italiani di entrare a far parte della nostra bellissima famiglia e di conoscere il fantastico mondo di ESN.

 

ESN Siena GES - ETS rappresenta gli studenti delle università senesi a livello italiano ed europeo all’interno dell’Erasmus Student Network (ESN), rete di associazioni studentesche a cui ESN Siena GES - ETS appartiene.

 

Ogni anno i delegati della Sezione partecipano, in Italia e in Europa, a numerosi incontri che ESN Italia e ESN AISBL organizzano per discutere di programmi e progetti comuni e/o di eventuali problematiche riguardanti il Network.

 

Nel 2003 ESN Siena GES - ETS ha ospitato l’Annual General Meeting (AGM), il più grande evento organizzato da ESN AISBL, a cui hanno aderito circa 350 volontari internazionali che, in rappresentanza di tutte le sezioni di ESN AISBL, si sono ritrovati per quattro giorni a lavorare tutti insieme nella città del Palio.

 

Dal 13 al 15 dicembre 2019, inoltre, ESN Siena GES - ETS ha organizzato la IV Piattaforma Nazionale, con l’occasione denominata “PN InGESsata”, durante il quale ha accolto circa 150 delegati delle Sezioni di ESN Italia, riunitisi a Siena per eleggere il Consiglio Direttivo di ESN Italia del 2019/2020.

Erasmus Student Network Siena Gruppo Erasmus - Third Sector Association, abbreviated to ESN Siena GES - ETS, is a non-party and apolitical association of volunteer students, that was born on 16th January 1990, thanks to a group of students of the University of Siena returning from European student mobility programmes. The Association is open to all the students of the University of Siena and the University for Foreigners of Siena and to the other higher education institutions in the territory of Siena. It aims at welcoming and helping all the international students arriving in Siena during their mobility period, under the principle of “Students Helping Students”. In this regard, the Association organises trips and leisure activities - in conformity with the six Causes of ESN Italy (Culture, Health & Well-Being, Social Inclusion, Environmental Sustainability, Education & Youth e Skills & Employability) - helping international students to be part of the university community of Siena and of the Italian socio-cultural context, as well as supporting them in the research of an accommodation, by providing them any kind of useful information to their stay in Siena. In addition, it encourages mobility in schools and supports the Italian students who want to undertake a mobility experience in Europe.

Each year about 500 students become members of ESN Siena GES - ETS, thus joining a constantly expanding and improving range of services. By getting the membership card and by showing it when buying, you can enjoy discounts and promotions in many local shops and with national partnerships such as Ryanair, Flixbus, N 26, Just Eat, Bit Mobility and lots of others.

On an annual basis, the Association also organises Recruiting activities to allow other Italian students to join our wonderful family and to get to know the awesome world of ESN.

ESN Siena GES - ETS represents students of the Sienese universities at the Italian and European level within the Erasmus Student Network (ESN), a network of student associations to which ESN Siena GES - ETS belongs to.

Every year the delegates of the Section participate in numerous meetings in Italy and in Europe organised by ESN Italy and by ESN AISBL to discuss common programmes and projects and/or possible problems involving the Network.

 

In 2003 ESN Siena GES - ETS held the Annual General Meeting (AGM), the biggest event organised by ESN AISBL during which about 350 international volunteers joined to represent the ESN AISBL Sections. They met in the city of Palio and for four days worked all together.

 

Moreover, from 13th to 15th december 2019, ESN Siena GES - ETS hosted the 4th National Platform, on this occasion named “PN InGESsata”, which saw the participation of about 150 delegates of the ESN Italy Sections, reunited in Siena to elect the National Board of ESN Italy for the year 2019/2020.
